At its June 23rd
meeting, the OFDDA Board of Directors has voted to endorse Appendix P as of the
2008 Oregon Residential Specialty Code. This action will provide communities
with local control over their fire protection needs by giving them authority to
require residential fire sprinkler systems in new home construction. The Board
asks that you support this effort through your boards, commissions, city
councils, fire chiefs, associations, and community partners. Please download
and sign the resolution supporting the adoption of Appendix P as amended in the
2008 Residential Specialty Code. Thank you for your support of this life safety
issue.
