Annual membership dues are based on a district's assessed value during the
previous fiscal year. Please contact the
OFDDA office for additional information about membership dues.
Membership in the OFDDA provides many benefits:
-
Members receive a comprehensive Board Member's
Guide that provides information on issues ranging from personnel, budget law,
public contracting, and public meetings.
-
Member districts are eligible for special
insurance programs, including general liability and workers' compensation.
-
Participation in an aggressive legislative
program that is coordinated with fire services across the state. Each
session, OFDDA introduces and supports legislation needed by fire districts.
-
Reduced registration fees for the association's
annual conference. Each fall, OFDDA sponsors an annual conference that
provides training and other programs designed to improve your district's
operations.
-
Complimentary registrations for safety training
workshops. OFDDA sponsors safety training workshops around the state.
The workshop topics include timely information related to risk reduction,
worker safety, OSHA regulations, and board member responsibilities.
-
Access to OFDDA's information sources and
research services. OFDDA maintains a library of information helpful to
fire districts and directors. OFDDA also provides opportunities to work
with other directors to share problems and success stories.
-
Most importantly, by joining OFDDA, your district
is supporting fire districts statewide and demonstrating its commitment to be
the best.
